On my very first weekend in Costa Rica my family decided to take me on a trip to the Coast. I was very excited for the opportunity to see the country, I can’t help but be amazed every time I have the chance to go to the beach. I love the sunshine, the salty air and my hair becoming curly from the salty water. It was just the perfect welcome present.
At family trips you always get to see everyone’s worst side, at least that’s what I’ve experienced in the past 16 years, everyone always got in a fight and complained about what they didn’t want to do. Of course this did not happen, it was a very relaxing weekend and it was the perfect way to get comfortable with each other. Not only that but I got to see another beautiful part of this gorgeous country. In my last post I talked about nature, the mountains, and now I can talk about the beaches. It was incredible going next to the coastline, on one side you could see the mountains and on the other the sea. I have never seen anything like this before; I sat in the car in silence enchanted by nature. Once in a while I took out my phone and captured some pictures.
After about 4 hours we arrived to Punta Uvita, which is on the southern Pacific coast. It is not just simply a beach but also a protected National Park. The water was crystal clear and very refreshing. It’s hard to explain this beautiful place with words so here’s my weekend in pictures:
My beautiful family💜
With my two awesome sisters💙
Punta Uvita is also known for its whale watching tours which I also got to take part in. For the first time ever in my life I saw real whales in the wild!
It’s kind of hard to tell, but that tiny dot in the picture is a whale. It was very hard to take pictures of the whales because they only showed up for couple seconds, but I managed to capture one.😉
The next day we headed to Manuel Antonio National Park which is home to many tropical animals like sloths and monkeys (yes, I saw both😉) and also beautiful white sand beaches:
Thank you for reading!😘
